About Josh…

Ever since winning the prestigious 6th Grade Primary School Bookwork Prize, design has remained in my blood. I completed a Bachelor of Business degree majoring in Marketing at the University of Technology, Sydney. Many out of class hours were dedicated to art directing and producing the campus magazine, and to building a darkroom in my garage... this is where my love of all things typographic, photographic and design began.

Post graduating, I jetted to London, where I was fortunate to land a junior designer job within the global Publicis Group. There I learnt the art and philosophy of the creative process & production, as well as the reality of working to the world’s tightest client deadlines.

Upon returning to Australia, I set up Josh Murray Design, focusing on brand development, design and art direction. Through the 90s, the world of online evolved exponentially, and my service offering grew to include all things digital... including a truckload of gif banners. Being eBay’s sole Australian supplier of advertising creative in their first year of local operation made me a world authority on 10 kilobyte ad campaigns!

Today, I work with an incredibly talented team of Designers, Web Developers, Photographers, Copywriters and Brand Strategists. As a team, we deliver our clients strategic design services with a strong digital skew, that balances powerful aesthetics with usability, engagement and innovation – from brochureware through to commercial-level, custom built web solutions.
